Why Go To Little Cayman
Little Cayman is the smallest of the Cayman Islands. It is approximately 10 miles long and 1 mile wide. Little Cayman is known for it SCUBA diving. Although there is wonderful dive sites on Little Cayman, but “Bloody Bay Wall” is what most visitors come to see, photograph and dive.
A unique geographic location with a wall that extends about 6000 feet and a separate area call Jackson Byte. Many of the dive sites in Jackson Byte have mini walls so you can gas off in the shallows and extend your dive time. Where else in the world can you dive two very different types of areas in one location. On one side Bloody Bay, a sheer wall; and the other half is the Jackson Byte, coming together at a dive site named “Mixing Bowl” the most asked for dive site on the Island. After your first set up you don’t need to touch your gear until your last dive or you reach the dock. A 46 foot Newton designed for diving will be the first at the dive site.
Safety, the primary reason for Dive Masters to be in the water for every dive, animals and reef creatures will be pointed out by your Dive Master. Your Dive Master will go with the group to point out the smallest to the largest animals on the dive. Please join the many return guests in one of your best diving experiences. When you arrive back on land consider stopping by Seahorse Boutique for lunch, homemade ice cream, local crafts, cupcakes and other goodies. For the Southerners in the group, sweet potato fries are available. Seahorselittlecayman.com. The staff will gladly give
you a free Cupcake, as a sample of their wonderful goodies, just tell them you are staying with us. Also asking about their weekly specials.
Another Island local hangout is the Hungry Iguana or “Iggys” for short. If you want a great variety of Burger’s for lunch or Currie for Dinner check out Iggys. Iggys is located a few yards from the Little Cayman Airport and is a part of Paradise Villas another great place to stay for couples that need limited space but still have a place to fix your own food. The Ridgley Family welcomes you to Conch Club 12, on Little Cayman. It is our pleasure to share this unique and special place with you. Whether you are here for Bird Watching or SCUBA Diving we hope Little Cayman will be a wonderful memory and you will soon return.
Unit 12 is a wonderful condo located at the end of the facility. It is very quiet and away from the pools. It is on the beach and the evenings can be beautiful. It has free internet service as well as several TVs. The TV service is mainly from the US. We have wonderful friend to help you enjoy your SCUBA Diving, meals, private chief if you want to eat in and
stay casual.
A few facts about Little Cayman: There is no fresh water on the island. Any water comes from collections during rainy season or desalination of salt water. The electricity is supplied by a single generator located mid-island. Cars can be rented on the Island, and the exchange rate is approximately .80, meaning our US dollar is worth 80 cents CI. Prices for rental of Conch Club 12 are listed as US dollars. Most meals and gifts purchased in shops are all in Cayman Dollars. You should ask other services of the price is US or Cayman. Everyone on Little will accept US Dollars or American Credit Cards.

Some Suggestions For Your Trip To Little Cayman
These thoughts, suggestions, and background is based on over 25 years of coming to Little Cayman and being a Divemaster for most of that time. Please use the Cayman Island Website to get the most updated conditions and rules of traveling to the Cayman Islands.
The Cayman Islands consist of three islands. Grand Cayman, the largest and most likely your arrival spot in the Cayman Islands. You will go through Immigration here and change planes to Little Cayman. Make sure you have several hours to accomplish getting through immigration, getting your bags, checking into Cayman Airways, looking for the line to “Sister Islands or Little Cayman. Check in, bags limited to 55 lbs. and they may weigh your backpacks as well. Go through security, no Pre-check or Global Entry in Cayman Islands. Lines can be long so plan your connections to the smaller Cayman Airlines Flight to Little Cayman.
Above all, I believe you will find the goal of everyone on the Island is to make sure you enjoy your trip.
